Recovery from CFS: 50 Personal Stories Hope and Letting Oprah Know – Diana Daniele – Los Angeles, CA
I wrote one of the success stories in this book, but receive no profits from its sale, nor was I paid to write my chapter.

Recovery From CFS is an amazing collection of stories that offers readers Hope with a capital H. I highly recommend the book for anyone who suffers from CFS/ME (now known as CFIDS in the US) and all those who love him/her.

There is no magic bullet cure to overcome CFIDS, and everyone who has had it knows what it is to refer to those “Dark Days, when there seemed to be no hope at all. This book includes a multitude of individual strategies to heal and recover — and truly become “better than new”, because of the hardwon lessons learned along the way.

It would be so wonderful if more people knew about this life-changing book. Anybody know Oprah??

Five-star, all the way…

I highly recommend this book for anyone suffering with CFS/ME or has a loved who is. I related with nearly all the stories in the book -even felt some could just as well been written by me. It is filled with all kinds of practical help but, more importantly, it is filled with hope. The causes of this illness and the path to recovery can be quite varied. The reader will, however, find many common threads among the 50 stories in this book. On the really difficult days when hope and energy would ebb and frustration and despair flow, I could curl up in my bed, open this book and feel the rejuvenating power of relating to others who had successfully navigated out of the clutches of what can sometimes seem to be an implacable and elusive affliction. I have made some very tangible progress towards my health in the last 6 months and consider reading this book to be a key turning point. I have complete confidence that I will soon be able to contribute my own story to what I hope will be another addition to this wonderful book. : Recovery from CFS – 50 Personal Stories is a simple collection of recovery stories from people who have recovered from CFS/ME. Men, women and children from six different countries who were all diagnosed with CFS/ME and who were ill for between 2 and 25 years, have written their own individual and very different accounts of their return to good health and a normal life. At the end of each account they have offered advice, suggested helpful books and websites, and many have even given contact details for readers needing support. The foreword is written by Dr Jacob Teitelbaum, Medical Director of the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers, Inc. USA. Dr Teitelbaum had CFS himself as a medical student and is one of the world’s foremost experts in CFS. Two of the stories are written by doctors, including that of Dr Clare Fleming who edited two reports from the UK National Task Force and who contributed to the Action for ME rehabilitation courses. There is also the miraculous story of canoeist Anna Hemmings who returned to win the world championship Gold medal nine months after recovering from CFS. 20% of the book proceeds go to CFS/ME research

Sony SRS-T33 Compact Portable Speakers (Pink)
March 8th, 2010

Sony SRS-T33 Compact Portable Speakers (Pink) Sony: SRS-T33PINK The SRS-T33PINK is a compact, portable speaker that you can use with a laptop, Walkman or just about any portable audio device. It produces powerful, quality sound with One-Box Stereo Sound and Mega Bass, but it comes in a small package (12 oz including batteries). The unit is magnetically shielded, so it won’t interfere with other electronics, and the two-way power supply lets you use batteries or an AC outlet (along with the optional AC-E60HG or AC-E60A AC adapter). Don’t want to wear headphones just to enjoy a little of your own music back at the hotel? Take some speakers with you. With SRS-T33’s single chassis and compact, foldable design, Sony’s 1-watt-per-channel portable speakers will travel wherever you do. The little package even offers cable and plug storage management.

The speakers’ 1.3-inch (34 mm) neodymium magnet drivers produce high energy output for impressive speaker movement, power, and sonic accuracy, giving you remarkably good sound from speakers occupying little more space than a CD case. Sometimes referred to as a rare earth magnet, neodymium offers 15 times the strength of a traditional strontium-iron-based magnet. This strength grants greater power handling and higher frequency reproduction. Kick in the unit’s Mega Bass circuit for a boost.

The SRS-T33 is magnetically shielded to avoid interference when placed near or atop a TV, laptop computer, or monitor. The speakers operate for about 24 hours using 4 AA batteries (not included) and weigh approximately 8 ounces (without batteries) or 12 ounces (with batteries). The unit can also be used as passive portable speaker system, with no batteries or external power source required; just use the headphone amplifier on you portable device. Optional accessories include the AC-E60HG or AC-E60A AC/DC power adapters.

What’s in the Box
